Challenging a Culture of Inequality, Síle Nic Chormaic

Síle Nic Chormaic is an OSA Senior member and a Physics Professor at Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology (OIST) Graduate University.

A gender equality taskforce was eastablished in OIST's early days. It presented a series of recommendations, such as the naming of a vice president for gender equality, for the campus' executive team. A more visual form of outreach has been the campus' "Change" poster series, now distributed to univerisites and institutes around Japan (see picture above).
