Fellowships for Postdoc Mothers - D-PHYS, ETHZ

OPN2016
MUST has worked with D-PHYS, ETH Zürich on a new initiative for female postdocs. A fellowship program for postdoc mothers has been introduced, which aims to support female postdoctoral researchers who are simultaneously starting a family and pursuing a research career. It gives them the opportunity to gain a fully funded PhD student in their research area, co-supervised with their professor. Thus it enhances the research direction and promotion of the mother.

The fellowship is fully funded by the Department of Physics of ETH Zurich for the standard period of a PhD thesis of four years. The fellowship also involves the release of the post-doctoral mother from non-research departmental teaching duties for one year, starting from the date that the mother returns from maternity leave.
