The ETH pioneer fellowship program

Have you developed something exciting and useful during your PhD or master's thesis and are you wondering if it bears commercial potential? Are you tempted by the thought of creating a spin-off company, but you feel that the technology is not quite mature enough yet? The pioneer fellowship provides funding for 18 months, during which time you will have the opportunity to take your research results further towards a market-ready, commercial product. The founding of a spin-off company and / or the licensing to a company would be a natural step, following the fellowship. The total award per grant is up to CHF 150'000.-

The Pioneer Fellowship Program is a promotion program of the ETH Zurich office of research additionally supported by private donors (through ETH Zurich foundation). Examples of former Pioneer fellows are found here. Submission deadlines are September 1 and March 1.

Venture Kick

"We kick-start your startup"
"Be part of venture kick "

More than CHF 11m invested, over 298 startup projects financed, more than 464m in financing volume and 2.433 jobs created - this is venture kick's track record since the private initiative was launched in the fall of 2007 by a private consortium.

venture kick aims at early identification, structuring and promotion of promising business ideas with a clear vision: to double the number of spin-offs at Swiss universities, to accelerate the time-to-market and to raise the attractiveness of these young companies for professional investors.
