2013 Gordon Research Conference - Quantum Control of Light & Matter

atto_Tour_eiffel_nuit_mitLogo2013_1008x1008
Date So, 28.07.2013 - Fr, 02.08.2013
Time All day
Speaker
Location Mount Holyoke College, South Hadley, MA, United States
Program Quantum control of light and matter makes use of coherent interactions between light fields and quantum systems to direct dynamics and prepare target quantum states. Quantum control is inherently interdisciplinary, and this conference will highlight prospects and efforts in many areas including:

Control over chemical reactions
Ultrafast dynamics and time resolved spectroscopy
The development of new (nonlinear/multidimensional) spectroscopies
Quantum state engineering Quantum information
Control in open systems
The role of quantum coherence in large (mesoscopic/biological) systems
Applications to molecular discrimination, microscopy, devices etc

There will be an equal emphasis on theory and experiment at the conference.
