Plenary sessions of the European XFEL (progress and current status of the European XFEL; instrument design developments & advances; selected science applications; current developments in the field of XFEL facilities).

30 Jan, morning:
Plenary sessions (Soft X-ray FEL / FLASH experiments) jointly organized with the DESY Photon Science colleagues.

30 Jan, afternoon:
Satellite meetings and workshops:
- European XFEL HED instrument user workshop
- Design of the SASE3 beamline and implementation of the split-and-delay line for soft X-rays instrumentation

31 Jan, afternoon:
Poster session, jointly organized with DESY Photon Science.

In the morning of 31 Jan the Plenary session of the DESY Photon Science Users' Meeting 2014 will take place.

We are pleased to announce that we are again able to offer to a limited number of young scientists a financial contribution, depending on distance, towards travel and living expenses. All current PhD students, as well as scientists who obtained their doctoral degree after 1 January 2012 are eligible. We encourage you to forward this information to science graduate students or recent PhD's who might be interested. Deadline for application is *Sunday, 15 December 2013*.
