Structural dynamics in nanoscale materials probed by ultrashort electron pulses - Session of the DPG-Tagung

Date Do, 19.03.2015 - Do, 19.03.2015
Time All day
Speaker
Location Berlin, Germany
Program We want to draw your attention to a Focus Session at the 2015 German Physical Society Spring Meeting (March 15th-20th) in Berlin entitled

“Structural dynamics in nanoscale materials probed by ultrashort electron pulses”.

This session is to take place on Thursday, March 19th, in the afternoon. It will focus on new developments in ultrafast electron diffraction and microscopy and their applications to investigate ultrafast phenomena in advanced materials. The session will feature several invited speakers. A number of submitted contributions will be selected for oral and/or poster presentations. The poster session will take place on Wednesday, March 18th, in the late afternoon.

We encourage you to contribute to this Focus Session. The possible topics include:
development and application of pulsed electron sources, ultrafast electron diffraction in transmission and reflection, ultrafast transmission electron microscopy, novel electron detection schemes, photon-induced near-field electron microscopy, structural dynamics at surfaces probed by photoelectron spectroscopy, theoretical modeling of laser induced structural dynamics…

You may submit your presentation via the Website of the DPG: see link below.

To submit your contribution to the Focus Session please choose “O: Surface Science Division/Fachverband Oberflächenphysik” and the Topic “Focus session: Structural dynamics in nanoscale materials probed by ultrashort electron pulses”.

Submission deadline is Dec. 1st , 2014……. NEXT MONDAY!

We are looking forward to many contributions, nice talks and lively discussions.
