19th European Conference On Non-Linear Optical Spectroscopy (ECONOS 2020)

Date Do, 01.10.2020 - Do, 01.10.2020
Time
Speaker
Location AkademieHotel, Karlsruhe, Germany
Program Postponed to autumn 2020

ECONOS emerged in 2002 to widen the agenda of the former annual European CARS (Coherent Anti-Stokes Raman Scattering) workshops to cover all forms of nonlinear optical spectroscopy, theoretical and experimental studies, and applications. Topics include, but are not limited to, CARS, and other forms of coherent Raman scattering, applications of high-order responses in the time and frequency domain, development of novel lasers sources, as well developments related to physical processes that give rise to spectral signatures in different media. ECONOS 2020 intends to attract additionally participation from chi2 NLO spectroscopy, e.g. SFG (Sum-Frequency Generation) to expand the multidisciplinary nature of ECONOS.

ECONOS in general provides a platform for scientific exchange between physicists, chemists, engineers, material scientists, biologists, biomedical scientists and industry representatives and is intended to provide participants with new impulses for their own research. At the same time, the bridge to translation into application and marketing, e.g. in the field of new diagnostic and biomedical approaches is established. ECONOS 2020 in particular aims to attract scientists from the field of atmospheric science. Contributions on new diagnostic methods or inter-disciplinary applications in physics, chemistry, engineering, and biomedical research are particularly welcome.

ECONOS committee is keen to have adequate participation by female scientists. In the run-up to this, young women scientists are also encouraged to attend. If required, participants can take advantage of free childcare during ECONOS 2020.
