Ultrafast laser processing in glass – in three dimension

Date Mi, 27.11.2019 - Mi, 27.11.2019
Time 11:00h
Speaker Prof. Martin Richardson, CREOL, University of Central Florida, USA
Location EPFL Campus, MC B1 283
Program We will review ultrafast laser interactions in oxide and non-oxide laser glasses, in domains where the glass structure is modified or irreversible changed, with the objectives of creating inside the glass two-and three-dimensional optical components. We will explore the opportunities afforded by using temporally and spatially structured laser beams including vortex beams carrying optical angular momentum.
