Must_arpes-Pims12_945x633Must_pepico  Molecular dynamics and dissociation processes are monitored with an ARPES/PIMS apparatus (left/top) with a high temporal time of flight (TOF) and high spatial velocity map imaging (VMI) resolution. With a fs- two colour tunable laser system relaxation processes can be probed on the < 100 fs scale in molecules.
Subsequent molecular dissociation or ionization upon excitation by the probe pulse can be registered with a 20 ps resolution.  
A second ARPES/VMI-PIMS set up (right), dedicated to ion dissociation rate measurements following excitation in the VUV domain, is installed at the SLS/VUV beamline providing monochromatic VUV light tunable over a 4-30 eV range at a bandwidth of 1-3 meV. This set up is  accessible to external users upon request:
