Timeresolved Vibrational Spectroscopy XV
Date | So, 19.06.2011 - Fr, 24.06.2011
Location | Centro Stefano Francini at Monte Verità, Ascona, Switzerland
Program | The 15th conference on Timeresolved Vibrational Spectroscopy (TRVS XV) is the follow-up to TRVS XIV in Meredith, NH, USA. TRVS has always been a forum to discuss the latest developments in spectroscopic research utilizing timeresolved vibrational spectrosocpy, with the aim to elucidate structure and dynamics of molecular systems. A particularly exciting conference is expected in 2011 due to the rapid pace of new technological and scientific developments in the field. This includes new methods of Multidimensional Vibrational Spectroscopy, the direct observation of nuclear motion through time-resolved scattering techniques, as well as new developments in the very low frequency range (THZ spectroscopy). The second focus of the conference will lie on the molecular system side. That is, we have identified fields of pressing importance (e.g. for energy conversion and storage) in which timeresolved vibrational spectroscopy can make significant contributions to a mechanistic understanding.
